Only if it's an overly flattering portrayal of oneself to the point where they seem one-dimensional. There are some people who make ugly fursonas or develop theirs into actual characters, so not always!

Yes and no. Like Ben says, if it is only good things then it's a mery sue. Those that admit fault are not mary sue. It doesn't have to be a big flaw like "he's an alcoholic" but something like "isn't good at math.

Personally I picked the concepts of my character for the dual aspects. Foxes in literature are clever and conniving. They can be villains or heroes. They're smart but often fail due to pride or greed.

The five of diamonds is a chard about change. It could mean a great loss, or gaining something.
