I've never attempted to do a fully digital piece for one of my own projects before, probably because of the lingering thought that it might turn out downright rubbish. Well, I finally put my itchy fingers into action... With my first fully digital piece of illustration (at last)! The image was originally at least two times the size of the final here, but my dislike of several elements led me to crop it and work on smaller elements. I don't imagine my character Lance to be necessarily giving his pal Yolos the 'cold shoulder', as that's not what the original sketch was all about, although Yolos does make it a habit to say inappropriate things every now and then. It could be taken in any number of different ways.

As I have said so many times before, I am a storyteller more than I am an artist. The pictures I find the most beauty in are the ones that tell a story, sometimes in a single frame. This is a gorgeous example of that. A glance of this piece places a feeling of an intricate tale in my mind.. what happened before.. what happened after.. It's not my place to share that story here, but in any picture that a story is so plainly visible, the artist, in my opinion, has succeeded completely. I do not know what story you intended to tell with this piece, or even if my story is close to it, but it's a powerful expression, with strong, clear emotions, and you should be proud of yourself.
I saw this image before as a thumb attached to somebodies music on this site and I recall wishing I could see a larger version of the art, and sure enough here it is. ^_^ Fave! This entire piece is lovely, the somewhat sketchy approach is pulled off beautifully making it seem so wonderfully organic. From snow flakes to fur texture this is a truely excellent piece.
:) I have some prints up back on my DeviantART account if you're interested (including this one): http://leopreston.deviantart.com/prints/
This is really an awesome picture! :) I echo what all the others here have said a hundred times already: their expressions are outstandingly well done. I am also stunned at the apparent ease with which you brought such strong emotions into the scene.
I'd really like to see more fully digital pieces of the two of them, and hear/see more about this Armaniss book of yours, too!

Thank you very much, and you're right, I really should work on another painting of the two. :) Perhaps I will get around to doing something like that! Also, sadly, the book... I put it on hold while I worked on other projects, but hopefully it's something that I will return to eventually! ;)
Oh! No, no, once again, I think you're thinking of Tracy: http://www.foxprints.com/tracy/
I'm sorry, so many artists have used the pawprints motif! XD
