Why you die on me!!
Today marks the death of my Xbox 360... I finally play my 360 thats been gathering dust... I pop-in Sonic Unleashed and play some custom music and to my surprise 10 minutes into the game it freezes.. controller vibrates and it shuts off. I turn it back on It will not turn on or go beyond that red ring. :c
Ive let it sit and powered it back on and still get the RROD. I unplugged it for about an hour and it still shows me RROD... DX
No Sonic Generations for me I guess.... at least till I aim for it on PS3 or 3DS for Christmas.
(In scraps becuz because this is NOT art lol)

Well at least you're explaining your reasoning behind it. To that end, I can certainly respect your mindset.
The thing is, it's still fact: They removed the Red ring notification on the new 360 models. My -theory- is that it is because they want to reduce the cost of returns and repairs for defective volumes, so that they can gain a higher profit margin by making their customer's purchase new models.
Then again, I'm still not certain if the new model has resolved the red rings entirely or not. Last I heard, the "Elite" 360 was supposed to do that, but that was the model released during halo 3. Sooo....
*Shrugs helplessly* We make of it what we will in the end, am I right?

I grew up with Nintendo as well. I remember the days of the NES.
The good old days...*sighs wistfully* And then, like all good things...it had to get stolen.
Zoom up to six years later, I get a Sega Saturn. And of course...it becomes outmoded.
Get a playstation, and was a loyal fan up until the production of the PS3. The price on that fucker drew me to say "I'd rather make a car payment for my father", and summarily threw away any loyalty I had for Sony after they removed the reverse compatability for the PS3 models.

Yeah... Crap backwards compatability is what ruined the PS3 for me. Well that, and... Really... There's not a whole lot I want. MGS4, maybe, but my interest in MGS is casual at best. And besides that, 3 was my favorite, and my resident MGStard friend said it's nowhere near as detailed. So, yeah.
I don't have a huge collection of PS1 and 2 games, but definitely enough that I'll just stick to my old PS2, heh...
Right now, gaming wise, I want a 3DS, I'm keeping my eye on the Wii U, and I want to build a monster gaming PC. Or at least slap a new GPU and 7 64-bit in what I have, since the mobo, processor, RAM and HDD are already high class items.

Ironically enough, with the internet becoming as strong a force for networking within the furry community, you'd be hard pressed to find a way to socialize outside of the digital world without a PC.
Then again, that's just from the general standpoint of most nonsensical furries. That being said however...
It does seem to me that the computer is becoming quite a peripheral in and of itself for cutting edge gaming.
