I might scrap this later because it's pretty retarded looking.
Another character for the gangster storyline me and my boobcat can't leave alone with Saints The Third coming out in like... two weeks. Please excuse me while I spaz around the room for a sec....
Anyway, this is Marshal. He acts as the gang's doorman, look out, scout and occasionally a guardian for some of the more mobile, fast moving gang activities. He is technically a shifter, just like Sam and Jillian and everybody else in this universe, but he used his dog form a little bit too much as a teenager and has since become trapped in it. If shifting is not practiced, control of it can be lost. Marshal can still shift back into his human form on the very rare occasion, but it's usually only in response to ridiculous amounts of grief, and the moment the grief passes, he's back to being a dog.
The only way in which this impacts his life though is the difficulty in using some tools that require thumbs. Guns in particular. He's very knowledgeable about guns and technology and was planning on joining the military to be a weapons engineer before his little mishap occurred. But he cannot use any weapons himself, except maybe a grenade or other throwable explosive item. So he's pretty useless during most missions.
So he's typically left back at HQ, patrolling the premises, organizing and controlling the normal dogs that live within the gang's hide out, and keeping an eye out for interlopers. Despite his "situation", as he likes to call it, Mars is a pretty chill guy- very easy-going and extremely humorous. He tends to be distrusting of strangers, and has an ego fit to tip the world on its side, but neither of these traits seem to make him intolerable, as he's very social, even welcoming toward other people and their egos. His only real major flaw, besides being a dog, is his ridiculous love of women. He will drop everything in the face of a pretty girl and never passes up the opportunity to let someone know when he's watching them. He's a bit rude and abrasive in this aspect, often bold and obnoxious in his approach, your stereotypical sexhound of a man. But his physical appearance often betrays him and he rarely scores anything with anyone.
He seems content to simply window shop and wolf whistle from afar.
yep

May not be able to use guns but he looks like he could rip off an arm or two and that is good enough? x3 Pretty interesting character. I love characters with massive egos. I dunno, maybe cause I have no ego. x3 He reminds me a little of my character Brass. Though, they are pretty different. x3 Brass isn't a cool gangster dog. He is a three legged fox owo and dislikes the opposite sex. And the same sex! He is too good for any of them. Sorry. I am rambling x3 I love the way you do paws, by the way.
Yes they can talk in their animal forms. They actually cannot talk to animals, but being down at the same level can make it easier to notice and read body language, and makes it easier to communicate back at them. But because shifters are still humans deep down, they can only understand human dialects.
This looks really great! And this universe is sounding really awesome. Like everything you draw is so amazing I can't words. I agree with saetia. Please tutorial mouths/jaws?!
Also spazzing about Facings the Third. Mostly because it will be a few months til I'll have enough money to get it but I can't friggin wait! *flails about*
