Heh, glad I could contribute something to your intellectual development! Dr Doom's origin was first outlined in "Fantastic Four Annual #2" and elaborated in any number of later Marvel comics. A lot of these are now available in reprint collections.

There were a couple of instances when Gadget "lost it" in the series - or when she became a real "special forces" mouse to rescue her friends. She can be scary when she has to. And with Doom thrown into the mix...

The Cola cult definately was her best Rambo moment, but the funniest was the Baby gangster episode. Just because Chip implied having to tie Gadget down (made my dirty young mind work overtime ;) ).

Don't worry about keeping in line with Marvel canon.

Trying to do so would imply that Marvel bothered to keep things in line with Marvel canon.

All too true. Still, the original story was sound enough, and there were some good "upgrades" over the years.
