A pair of late-edition EE Lightnings with skilled pilots are a match for a single F-15A flown by a rookie pilot. Unfortunately, the Lightning's a much sportier aircraft than the MiG-17, and anyone with a limited number of new F-15As is not going to put "nuggets" (inexperienced, young fighter pilots) into the things.
