For those of you that have seen Shetalga's info, some of you have probably wondered what a vemas looks like. Well, here is a picture I made of what vemas' look like both on land and underwater.
As I explained before, a vemas is a mammal that is local to Atlantis. The difference between a male vemas and a female vemas is that a male vemas have 2 horns on their head that are curved up. While a female vemas has only 1 horn and it's straight.
When they are on land, they form a dog like form that allows them to go fast on land.
When they are underwater, their necks get shorter & wider, their front legs turn into fins, the fin on their backs grows longer, & the back legs fuse with the tail to make it longer. They form a fish like form so that they can swim better than they could in their land form.
They breathe through the gills on their necks, they can see in the dark, and their diet insists on many things. On land, their diet insists of grass, Atlantian flowers, & certain bugs (flies, ants, spiders, etc.). While underwater, their diet insists of seaweed, shrimp, plankton, & salmon.
Vemas' are very gentle creatures and make great pets for Atlantians. Basically, they're an Atlantian's best friend. But when they feel threatened, they will fight back using their horns.
Pregnant female vemus' normally give birth underwater because the first thing they want their children to learn is how to swim.
In Fatty Furries, they were created by David when he created Shetalga. As for real life, they were created by me. But you probably already knew that. Lol!
