I ~wish~ so much that I could draw like you do, even when you consider these to be bad! Your standards must be through the roof, because these are gorgeous in my eyes! XD

I guess, I always have something amazing in mind but they come out like something else. It's important to enjoy what you do, and if you do then natural improvement will come! You can no doubt be as good as me or even better! Guidance can also help you improve quicker, so if you need it I can hopefully provide some in the videos that you said you may watch, I can't help but feel that they may bor the crap outta you though XD But again, I have no qualms giving lil tutorials if you really feel that they will help :3

I would love any sort of tutorials you may have! That would be amazing, so long as they don't cut into your free time to send them or whatnot! I actually need to work on a few little pics for friends just for fun but I also joined a Secret Santa thing for art just to make sure I actually practice and try in the upcoming month and a half and all.You're absolutely right, though, that I should just get to it and get some guidance where possible! I'd ask my brother since he's the real artist of the family (grad school, amazing work in inks from seemingly bargain-basement pens, astounding stuff) but with furry or kemono stuff? He'll raise an eyebrow! Ha ha!

Omg I know what you mean XD But it does not have to be furry related hehe, you can ask for anything and it'll contribute to your designs! The most important thing to look for I feel is the toning. Once you can get that down then you line works can become 5 times better! And toning can be done though colour and the line works can be as simple and plain as you like and it can still have amazing detail through the tones. And once you learn how to tone, you can see how to use lines to fill and display certain details.

And by tones I mean how the shadow and lighting affect an object, I myself is still learning but I can show you what I mean one day ^^ I found some awesome tutorials somewhere but I was half asleep and forgot to bookmark that damn thing DX hopefully I can find it one day hehe...

Anyways pester your brother but you don't have to say what your planning hehe Just ask for tips and shortcuts, if he has any shortcuts hehe Don't be afraid to use shortcuts, if it does the job USE IT! XD

Awww, well, if you ever remember where they are it would be awesome, Kit! And yeah, the last time I asked a general question about how to improve my sketching and shading it was primarily a smartass answer of "practice!" Well, yeah, that's obvious, but poor practice makes for poor improvements! Then again, he's a teacher just like myself, so that really...doesn't absolve him of anything, ha ha ha! XD

And use shortcuts, got it! :D

As you said you can only advance at a certain speed with practice but guidance along with practice can do wonders! You can see it of course you can compared but if you could then I'm sure it's tonnes better than fumbling around by yourself hehe

And also don't let one cloud over your judgement, if I or any other artist like it does not mean you have to. Whats important is that you like it ^^ But it's also important to be brave enough to try it and see for yourself (this can take alot of effort emotionally, to try new things out DX) so you can be sure that if it suites you or not. Cause there is no right or wrong, just what you want, thats what I believe anyway...sorry I ramble too much ><

No, no, that wasn't really rambling and it makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the overall tips, I must say! When I have time in a few hours, after I finish something else, I think I'll get around to trying to sketch out a few poses and whatnot, maybe even do some work on hands. I was able to grab a few more art books via Book Off as of late (and on the severely cheap!) and I was really intrigued with the suggestions they put forth. The only thing is it does me no good if those concepts sit in a book instead of me breaking out the (much unusued) sketchbook and giving it a go!

I love dragoon's characters so much. Glad to see you draw one of his characters! It's a toss up for me between dragoon's gal and Minna Kat as to which is my favorite.

I should of done Kat alot more better, I think I was really shy and started in a really weird rythem. So it kinda went all off DX I always had a thing for dragoons characters ^^ they are sooooo cute and sexy >:3
