Out of my art show pieces so far this is my least favorite. I reallly like how the dog came out but I wish I had done something else with the background, I was going for a lonely feeling, and a message about long distance relationships. Those are sparkles, my scanner MAJORLY killed this....if in a few days I still don't like this I will re glue it onto new paper and try again.

So I've always heard the saying "and artist is always their own worst critique" well in the case of this picture it really is true. I am sooo happy to say that this piece, the one I disliked the most, won the award for Chairman's Choice for the best piece in the midwest furfest 2011 art show. I cried when I saw the plaque next to my own art work. I could not be anymore happier or proud!!
