This is a short experimental piece I put together this afternoon. It's certainly not a finished story, although I may use it as a stepping stone for something more complete. Essentially, I assigned myself the task of depicting light with words, in order to evoke a certain emotional response. I'm not sure how it worked.

NOTE: I am not looking for help proofreading this piece. Again, this was an experiment, and I wouldn't even consider it a first draft. I would, however, appreciate some advice on formatting a text file properly for upload to FA--i.e. what types of editors do people use, what type of encoding, what can I do to avoid having my rudimentary formatting screwed up, etc...
