Just a pic thats been in my head for ages that i've been wanting to draw and as ever with most of my family pictures it comes with a small story


Gem had been full of hyper energy all day. She had overheard that Unka souffle was coming to babysit this evening and she loved sitting on his lap playing with his big recipe book. He often bought her presents and she forgot the last time she had seen him, it had been a while. The doorbell rang and Gem peered cautiously from behind the living room door as her mama opened the front door. She saw the instantly recognisable folf's tail and squealed in delight as she dashed as fast as her unstable podgy baby legs could carry her towards her most favourite uncle.

He chuckled to see her beaming up at him eagerly. Then turned his attention to gem's mom.
"Good to see you Abbey, sorry it's been soo long."
Gem by this point was tugging on his leg and he chuckled again as he ignored her persistant onslaught.
"I got Gem this, she has enough toys so i thought a little jumper for the oncoming winter would be a better gift, looking at her though, I think I over estimated, I thought she'd be bigger by now. The age on the label says 18-24 months, I can get it exchanged if you want"
Souffle handed Abbey the parcel.
"Aww Thankyou Souffle, you didn't have to bring anything, Gemma is just happy to see you. As you can tell"
The adult red panda chuckled as she unwrapped the parcel to find an adorable cardigan.
"Wow souffle it's gorgeous. Look Gem! Look what your Unka souff got you" Abbey held the cardigan out and Gem looked up at the gift then continued to try clambering on her Uncle souffle who seemed to largly be ignoring her attempts.
Suddenly gem found her whole world descend into darkness momentarily as her mama pulled the new cardigan over her head. Gem fussed for a second and struggled not quite comprehending what was going on and then her head was pulled clear and her mama threaded her two tiny paws through the sleeves. Gem looked up confused as both the adults burst into laughter.
Suddenly unka Souff was ruffling gems hair and Gem looked bewildered as he chuckled.
"don't worry squeaker, i'm sure you'll grow into it"
