This was my proof of being able to mix custom colors now and use them for the GasMasks. All I need is a physical color sample of the desired color, and I can work from there.

Heh: So far a few people kinda have: Take a look at the galleries over at http://www.wildgasmasks.com . Nice attempts, too!
Good question actually: I suspect that it should last quite nicely as it does bond to the latex below it, and since its the same stuff (just different colors) its difficult to seperate... Then again I have yet to see the one painted JG-1 again and see how its fared after a year...
Hey there!
Welp, FSTA stuff is really a whole different ballgame when it comes to the actual creation of the Items: While the Initial sculpting and creation for both will start the same way (Clay sculpture), the process of Creating the item is Very different (Mold making for Latex Pouring Vs Mold Making for Vacuum-forming) and requires a bit more in the way of equiptment (vacuum plus laminants plus materials to build the table plus the heating element) that I don't have the funds available to buy nor the skills to build. Theres a buncha other furrs whom are already looking into building such armor, so I'll leave that to them to discover and enjoy :)

Thanks lots :) They'll be here, gonna be working on a better version of the jackal as I get time to down the road, as I really need to redo the mold on the JG2 to make it easier to deal with: Issa royal pain making these right now just because of the mold! The Cat masks mold, however, proved to me that it doesnt have to be this difficult.
Now are these able to be used as actual protection, or is this just rated for looks and not real functionality? Not saying i would use one in a hazardous environment but if some one were to, would it actually protect against particles like asbestos fiber or anything under M1? Just curious.
Hey there!
The verbiage reads as follows:
* THIS MASK DOES NOT CONFORM TO ANY EXISTING SAFETY STANDARDS! DO NOT USE IN AN EMERGENCY OR ANY SITUATION WHERE YOUR BREATHING SAFETY CAN BE COMPROMISED!! *
While they are Technically functional and can be used with NATO DIN-40 threaded accessories such as canisters, hoses, pumps, connectors and other accessories available on the market, I have absolutely no financial ability to get these things made in any way-shape-or form that would pass any sort of safety certifications. They are classified as Carnival Masks, and thus theres no safety value that I can assign to them whatsoever. Whatever people do with them once they get them is entirely at their own risk, and I assume no liability for its misuse outside of a "Visual" context.
I have had people report to me that they have used them in particulate situations with no problems, but I cannot use those testimonials to endorse any use of these masks as a safety device.
