i was just finishing this off and my grandad came up to me, stared at the picture for a few seconds, and then said:
"shes got no face", as if he was disgusted by it. then he said "thats bloody awful emily. absolutely awful your drawings are disgusting" then he muttered some other things that i couldnt hear as he walked off.....
so im not in such a brilliant mood, and a small insect has just crawled inside of my keyboard, but i am extremely please with the result of the picture no matter what he says about it, although i was nearly in tears.
hmmmm an important and meaningful one to me, so it might not make sense to you but it doesnt have to so neh :P
i like the way how it has no lines....8) im getting better at this 8D it started as a sketch that i drew in school; it was an idea i had been creating all morning of how i felt. then i took it home, took a photo of it and i just started on a new layer above the sketch and started colouring - i like the effect it made, especially with the background still as the original paper XD
anyway hope you like it more that grandad did

It's quite a lovely and interesting piece. And by looking at it, if it did have all of the face pieces there, I see it as being smooth, still not really having a face.
The part I think is most interesting is how she's broken and holding her heart on a string, and how she's white and clean on the outside but has an oozing darkness inside her.

Wow, this picture is outstanding. The pose is still a bit 2d, but it's still nicely done. The whole concept of her face and legs being broken, and giving off a delightful tar ooze, is a familiar one to me. The only improvement I'd suggest would be that the right (her left) side of her stomach seems so be out of whack, the highlighted part should fall in shadow. The palm of her left hand is also a bit small. But overall, this is quite a lovely picture

im too lazy to make the changes now though XD(ill remeber to pay attention to stuff like that next time though :D) cos it was quite a while ago now...and i lost interest lol :P
