Zoe turned to flee but then she definitely saw what she was expecting. Something ran past the door way, she was surrounded!
She slowly edged to the furthest corner as the plush bear stepped into the light.
Zoe was emboldened by the sight of such a small adversary but that bravery left her as the bear plush dissolved into a dark mass which contorted and stretched till it filled a quarter of the hut.
Solidifying into the gyrating form of a feline witch, her hat and cape
shadowing the ceiling and wall behind her as she hissed her disapproval across the room at the skunky intruder before her.
Zoe ducked past the first blast of magic sprinting forwards as she
tried to keep out of reach of her former friend awkwardly toddling toward her from behind.
She was almost at the door when her distraction with Lauren had caused her to take a hit straight to the back but unlike Lauren she had an exit in front of her.
Mustering all her strength Zoe ran out of the dark hut into the relative brightness of the moonlit clearing huffing as she ran with the keys towards the car.
