hmmm...i always question myself on it too. i was at califur like 3 years ago, and I think I saw a bat drawing and thought it looks pretty cool. i went around finding cheap artists to draw me a blue bat, and eventually asked 
to draw me one. i just think the animal looks neat when drawn, they can look pretty ugly in real life lol
