Kind of an idea in progress that I'm developing. With the S. S. Athena stuck at a port in the Spontoon Islands, The crew can only wait until a shipmenr of fuel oil arrives. To keep everyone on board from going "Buggy." the director of entertainment decided to put on a talent show for the crew. Just about everyone showed up for the event Including Captain Crane who played wonderful Sea Shanties on his Concertina. Here, "The Boiler Room Three, plus one" performed a new score that got the place up and jumping, but some criticized the tune and lyrics as being somewhat familiar. After all, the Radio Show that Mr. Foxy based his lines on was still in it's infancy at the time.

Shall I spell it out?
Video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles......the quote is the from first lines from the song. If you still don't know look up first music video on MTV on youtube. The irony like many hit songs in the early 80's was it was not actually released at the time it became popular. The album it is on is called Age of Plastic was released in 1979. Look it up if you like the 80's sound. It's a good album.
To be honest I could never tell what he was saying exactly until now.

Ironically, "Age of Plastic" was one of the first CDs I ever bought. Followed shortly thereafter by Nine Inch Nails' "The downward Spiral." For the record, the last Vinyl LPs I remember buying was Talking Heads' "True Stories," and "Weird Al" Yankovick's "Dare to be Stupid."
Um... Not quite. I did get the idea for the Jacket from a character in a Warner Bros. Cartoon featuring Daffy Duck and Bug's Bunny. The "Slick" T.V. show producer had a charcoal gray suit with an obnoxious green plaid on it that stayed still while the suit moved around it.
Heh! I ought to connect you with my best friend Jim who's not only a steam nut, machinist, steam engine builder, (He owns the S. L. Pugnacious, but sometimes I think the little craft owns him.) but he's also a certified "Goon-Atic." He's even traveled to the UK and come back with some gems.
