Perspective's a wee bit off but it's *amazing* for being 100% PC-done. Especially without a tablet- I feel your pain.

Tablets are convenient, but overrated (and still expensive as hell. Mine was $100 and it's a 4 x 6" and several years old.)

I find them really nice for working with sketches and inked things, but the basic drawing is still best with a pencil and paper.

YAY! You're the FIRST person to agree with me on that. :D Everyone I know keeps going "Go digital! Go digital!" And I'm like... "If the apocalypse wipes out technology you're gonna be crippled and people will need art more than ever, so I'm staying with real media."

Besides, I see *way* too many people using the same program (Painter) to do all the hard work for them, and their final pictures all look the same. :< So pencil = <3

yup yup! I always try something with pencils and pens before trying to get a similar effect on the tablet. it gives me the real "feel" for what I want. Going digital makes things faster, but not necessarily better.

not even faster, for me at least- I can't manipulate the paper to get a line at the perfect angle I need. X3
