Time and time again I am reminded about how magic truly works. It's as if there's some kind of intelligence behind it that guides and shapes it as a force, something far beyond the ken of any mortal. Magic is a bit like playing a game of darts except that there are thousands of dartboarts lined up all across the wall. You can aim the dart for the bullseye that you want and with a measure of talent you'll be able to hit a bullseye consistently... But if you miss you don't just miss. The magic doesn't just sputter out and explode, especially not if you're as good at this as I am. Instead you start to realize that you just hit a bullseye on a completely different target. That intelligence that I mentioned, I truly believe that it is what causes this to happen.
So yes, to answer your question, that is the reason that I am standing here before you with the ass of an appropriately well-groomed and fine smelling canine. Even though I could never really understand how centaurs' bodies worked before, feeling this state of existence for myself is... Actually a rather pleasant learning experience...
And yes, of course I'm still wearing my cravat. I'd feel completely naked without it.

No, but I could pull it on partway... That's part of the problem with transformations, my trueskin is shaped to fit my human body. Even a human with different proportions would have a great struggle trying to get it on. I've experimented with transforming my trueskin's shape once or twice and I'll just have to suffice it to say that I'm not going to repeat that little adventure.
