Romanian Three-Tail Gloves and Model
Just thought a few photos of the gloves on an actual person would help, haha!
I finally made myself a semi-decent pair of gloves that fit my draconic identity rather well for FurFright, and now I've actually gotten around to photographing them!
The yellow undersides of the 'foot' was just acrylic paint. The black scale outlines are 'drawn' on with black puffy paint, and the claws are cut from black felt and adhered to the fingertips with more black puffy paint. I at first wasn't too sure about the claws being made out of felt, but I've since then realized that using felt is actually very useful - the claws will bend out of the way if you need to pick something up, and you can always return them to their preferred curved shape. : D
Sure, they're amateur, but I love them besides! Cheap to make, too - maybe about $7-10 in materials? Maybe even less! In any case, enjoy!

Hm... seeing that it took me about two days (waiting for paint to dry) total, and adding on the cost of materials, I'd say... maybe $15? Maybe more if they are elaborate patterns or one wants more advanced materials (foam scales, hard claws, airbrushed patterns, etc.). $15 would be the base price for something like my gloves, though. The acrylic paint on the undersides of the hands make for a nice grip, too, hehe! XP

I've thought about trying to make some Oni-gloves, or even being brave and using bodypaint to turn myself gray and dyeing my hair orange. I worry that the final result would look far more comical than I imagine in my mind's eye, though. xDDD
I don't think I've heard of felt for claws before, but I do like that you can pick stuff up without those getting in the way!

Oh, tell me about it - I've thought of a hat with horns and plates ever since I started working on these new gloves, haha!!
Aye, I was definitely surprised, if happily, about the functionality of the felt claws - sure, they may look silly, but if you can still wear the gloves and pick things up/open doors/do 'normal' stuff without completely obsessing on the claws to make sure they're not falling off is a nice trade-off for me. : D
I would love to see any progress if you do decide to make yourself some gloves! :D
