I think taking the regular background colours and just making abstract designs make it blend a lot better and feel more natural, if you're into that. i also like bright colours, and feeling like i'm on acid, so NO WORRIES LUL

I don't think you should change what you're doing, I think the colors in your panels are uniquely you!

well don't you agree than? generally when i'm on acid it feels like i'm on acid.

Yeah, I feel ya; for me, I get it from the bright, flat colors, the abstract colorful backgrounds that seem to reflect the moods of the characters, and the "cartooniness" of the characters, even though they're in realistic proportions. The last panel for example has all that. However, nowadays my CEVs and OEVs are usually less, so it's only the "waving" and melding of visual contours that reminds me I'm tripping.
