Woooo! One of my two favorite chapters! And one of the best endings to my chapters, too. How many of you would be willing to throw away your humanity and live life as a wild animal? Might be tempting for me, assuming I knew how to survive and it was an animal that I liked. And it was an animal with few natural predators.
Back when I first wrote this, there was pretty much only one person who commented on my story, and that one person was glad to see Joshua and Jessie gone. I have to wonder if anybody else feels the same way about them.
Author's Note
I had more of an idea of what to do with this chapter than the last. I actually thought up a little of it as I was finishing the last chapter. I might have been able to get in a little more detail in the car chase had I been given the time and space, but I didn't want to make the chapter take too long to read. And making a detailed description of a car chase would have been difficult for me. At first I was going to have the railroad crossing be a bridge that is opening instead, but I decided a railroad would have been better. Besides that, I've seen opening bridges be done too often anyhow.
I think that this was one of my better chapters. Before I wrote it, I really had no intentions of having Nathan turn into a wolf. I'll have to think about where I go with that. And of course there's that feeling of being watched. Sooner or later I'll have to unsolve that little mystery.
