Wow, oldpic!:)
I hadn't posted anything as of late regarding Durabbit Durabbit, and there was no time like the present, SOOOOO...
:) This one dates back to 2002, and was drawn from a photo of Duran Duran onstage. So here we have, from left to right, John T. Hare, Simon Le Bun, and Roger T. Hare on the drums.
The hard copy looks a lot better than this, I swear. But well, scanners and prismacolours are natural enemies from what I understand. :)
As for the Durabbits? I haven't retired them! Far from it actually! I'll have something new of them up here at some point!:)

I'd decided this should be Miguel's theme song... :)
Hmmmm... I guess they never made a real music video for this one...

Oh, I never said I thought it was bad (with the exception of "Read My Lips", which to this day is one of the only DD songs I truly have trouble listening to). All I meant is that most people had abandoned them at that point. "Violence Of Summer" was a really good song; so were "Serious" and "My Antarctica". I also quite liked "Liberty" and "Venice Drowning".
I'm probably squarely in the minority on this one, but do you know what I think one of their best albums? "Pop Trash". I always love it when they rock out more than you might expect, and "Playing With Uranium" and "Last Day On Earth" scratched that itch rather nicely. I'm also a big fan of "Notorious", which has a great groove running through it, beginning to end.
Yup, that's the one. The show where I saw them do that was probably the best concert I've ever been to (that was also the tour where they put "Secret Oktober" on the set list). They had sound problems during the show (as usual lol), and while they were working on them, Dale Bozzio from Missing Persons, who happened to be at the show, came out on stage and she and Warren did an impromptu acoustic performance of "Destination Unknown". Incredible. ^_^
Yeah, Warren's a d***. My friend and I ran into him outside the venue before one of their shows, and he totally blew us off. I wanted to say, "How about a little gratitude, huh? Your career could've been over in 1986 if not for DD and their fans, you jerk".
But I didn't say that, 'cause he could totally beat me up lol... and I'm not altogether sure he wouldn't.

Andy has been working on music with a couple of other people... there's a really good DD webdite here:

They post a lot of mp3's of live material, demos, unofficial remixes and such, and they've been getting new demo material from Andy's camp for a while now. A word of warning, don't go there unless you've got some free time on your hands... there is a LOT to see and hear. :)
