The black rings are... rubber O-rings? I rather like your clasp 'cheat'- There's never a really easy way to do a clasp for maille :(

the black are anodized aluminum, clasp cheat? i used a normal collar clasp (like a dog collar ^^)

They look like the rubber flex-rings I've seen some people use is all- almost too matte at the photo angle to really show as Ano Alum. Awesome stuff though! And yep, Clasp cheat! <grins> This is a good thing, not a bad thing!

XP by clasp cheat do you mean using the rubber to make the bracelet just slide on and off?

Nope, the rubber would give it a little more forgiving a flex though- for example colloring someone that is in a job known for building muscle such as UPS. A 'clasp cheat' is using a pre-fabricated clasp instead of winding one yourself as the mailler.
