I really like ravens and crows for some reason. Whether it's just because I can be morbid and dark sometimes or I just really find them beautiful intelligent creatures. This piece combinds celtic knotowork and the crow depicting a member of the celtic totem.
D.J. Conway in a book about celtic shamanism (not a huge fan of shamans, they creap me out) talks about the crow in the celtic totem saying this: Although the crow was ill-omened, it was also considered to be skillful, cunning, single-minded, and a bringer of knowledge... It also teaches you to learn from the past, but not hold onto it.
so there's your celtic totem lesson for the day. Do with it what you will.

Crows are amazing creatures, at least that`s what I`ve readed in books about the World of Darkness, [Wereworlf: hengeyokai, the shapeshifters of the east] it says that the crows are like voice of the Mother Earth, bringing relevant information about what`s happening in the world to the rest of the shapeshifters. I`ve directed a werewolf rpg session with a corax [werecrow] and I discovered then how useful can be one, at least in game terms ^^
Anyway, I like your work =3 it just insipred me to write this, even knowing that no one will read it x3 *faves*

I read it ^.^ and thank you very much. I really didn't know my art could inspire people to do anything and yes crows are amazing. In India there are these huge Ravens everywhere and I just sat and watched them one morning for hours (I actually reside in washington I was just in India for two months, actually where I drew this). I believe part of the celtic myth is that they are messengers for the underworld aswell. Thanks for commenting. ^^
