its like you say all the photos you find on the IDs have very close similarities... coz the fact is that they have similarities. they are: almost the same size, same angle and same distance from the camera.
now if you say those avatars look like each other...

but yeah of course some characters kinda look like... coz they look like in fact. i mean some characters already look like each other. its impossible to make it different.
anyway, i use the flash. every time i start a new avatar, i start from the zero. i can use any pastern. well actually sometimes i use the eyes. but most of times i cant. why? coz every time i do an avatar [or 'ahavatar', the name of the avatars made by me, Aha], i try to use a bit of the artist style, or at least the style of the reference pic they send me. now if im using a program or pasterns, you have to agree with me that its impossible make the avatar kinda look like the style of the artist im making it for. well only if you have 34,656,989 different kinds of pattern.
