The ground its smooth with few horizontal ridges. She lifts her head up and looks down at what she is laying on, whatever it is, it slowly rises and falls smoothly as if it was breathing.. her eyes adjust to the new surroundings; brown dirt like walls looks like a cave chamber. She slowly sits up placing both hands beside her pushing herself up straight slowly. The creature exhales deeply, and slightly moves its muscular long tail lightly brushing against her foot. she looks down tilting her head curiously and skims the creatures features, black scaled hide and wings... must be another dragon; laying on its back wings stretched out both sides. She sits there on its torso, watching and listening to it sleeping. breathing in and exhaling slowly with a gentle rumble vibrating it's chest slightly on the exhale. Outside, the sound of the wind russtling the trees outside as a gentle thunderstorm begins. The rumbling of the thunder rolling across the sky can be heard echoing within to the several cave chamber's that branch off and small sound of rain beginning to patter against the hard ground outside echos. i turn my head to look down the long curving tunnel seeing small flashes of light from the lightning lighting the room only for a few seconds letting me see this majestic creature,dragon. running my hand down his side feeling the smoothness of the ridges of eahc individual scale taking in the unique texture under my fingertips. i am curious to why he hasn't awakened yet from the storm outside and me being here... my mind wonders.. as i look down at the pitch blackness of his torso underneath me as i sit. with few light flashes lighting the chamber slightly for less then a few seconds before it goes back to pitch darkness as the thunder rolling across the sky increases. his torso rising fully and slowly falls as he exhales slowly and rumbles once again. i look up and another lightning struck outside lighting the chamber longer this time. laying on his back his wings extended as the top of his head rests against the cool dirt ground, his eyes open. he must have been awake but acting like he was still asleep, the chamber goes black again but the yellow glow of his eyes illuminates the area around his head. his eyes slowly move from one side slowly to the other side examining. before letting out a soft exhale stretching his neck and lifting his head fully up and looking at me.i scoot closer sitting closer to his chest, looking back up at him. The only sounds that can be heard is his breathing and the gentle storm outside, and the few lightning strikes outside lighting the room here and there. My mind draws blank on what to say but i instinctively reach my hand slowly up to run my fingers softly against the side of his snout and up the three long silvery gray spines that are on both sides of his face. he closes his eyes in response and gently moves to where his cheek presses firmly against the palm of my hand.i smile as i watch him and feel the coolness of his black smooth scales pressed against the soft warm skin of my hand. in my mind i can only think of him and how much i missed seeing him feeling him...i never wanted him to leave..as that thought crossed my mind my smile softly faded and i look down as i withdrew my hand. as soon as my fingers pulled back, not touching him. he opened his eyes and looked down at me again curiously and ran the smooth horned tip of his snout through my short hair. i shivered..i brushed my hair back with my fingers and slowly looked up as he adjusted himself to where his back was pressed into the smooth dip of the brownish wall of the chamber.he knew how i felt about this whole situation. my feelings his feelings and well his carrier's feeling.... i don't think its fair.. not to both of us. but if there's a good enough reason.. then i should let it be ... i exhale softly in a sigh as i extended my arms out to wrap around his neck in a hug pressing the side of my face against his neck. he lifts his taloned hand up and presses his smooth underneathing of his hand against my back covering and holding me in close.i tried to relax , hold back as much feelings as i can so i seem like i can handle this...i close my eyes and hold onto him snug and inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled my body shivering on the exhale. that knot in my throat, that forms when you try to hold back as much emotions as you can without showing any signs of it, hurts.i felt a tear slip down out the corner of my left eye. he exhales once more as his spines on his cheeks drupe, slightly. from feeling how hard i am trying to hold back.. there must be another form that needs me... i exhale again trying to focus on fading.. i part my lips and swallows before saying.." i love you"... i loosen my hold on him and lean back looking up at him. the lightning flash lighting the chamber once again for a few longer seconds then before. as my skin begins to fade in patches as i link somewhere else .....
