Free kiriban sketch for

Here's a gift sketch that I drew up in between working on commissions. :) There were two versions of this character to choose from, one fit and lean and the other more cuddly, so to speak. ;D I decided to go for the cuddly version, because it's not often I get a chance to draw more chubby character. ^.^ Plus, according to the ref sheet this version more accurately matched BlueNire's own body type, and I have a soft place in my heart for characters that reflect their creators in some way. So, I couldn't resist! :)
I thought a lot about people's self esteem while making this sketch in particular. I feel like no matter what a person looks like, fat or thin, ugly or beautiful, we all worry a lot about our physical appearance. It's a concern that I think is very... human. I didn't really come to any groundbreaking conclusions or anything, just sort of had it on my mind. :)
