I've just started religiously using colored pencils. Prismas are what I use too. What I always wanna do w/ them is get really nice paper (my mom gave me a piece of this stuff by a brand called Stonehenge, and omgomgomgomg it's aaaamazing for putting TONS of layers of colors on) and LAYER LIKE HELL. Go lightly too, and use light, even pressure.
