Your sketches are so clean. My sketches, by comparison, are just a bunch of blue pencil scribbles. Non-photo blue has spoiled me! I really love how expressive everything is. With a compilation like this, It's really fun to see how unique and fun each picture is!

Oh well thank you, I make an active effort to clean them up with a rubber a lot because I keep the sketch as the lineart in my work.

she's got great detail in him, but man I really still love your rendition with the shape of his head and expression

When I drew that version of Wallop my currently style was in it's early stages, I modeled my version more on The Grinch then his original design. I really don't know if I would still draw him like that now.

I definitely can see the grinch-like features

that's a shame, it's really a unique style for the character, you could even just retract that it's wallop at all and make it into a whole 'nother character

Agreed, after paul drew him I changed his design a bit. So he still is quite grinchy, to me at least.

I like the character but I hate his name and the duo. They were something I made up quickly for the group I own but still I might use him again for something one day, or paul could. He's up for grabs basically haha

These all look really great. How did you get the lead to eventually look like ink? I've been trying to figure that out. Also it's all so clean, which is cool :3

You sketches have gotten way smoother. Are you hands less shakey now or do you just spend longer on them?

Anyways its awesome, I agree with clydey.. we should make wallop into something one day. And he should be grinchy. xD

I use the rubber more to clean up the sketch, I rely much less on cleaning the images digitally because I realise it works out to be faster that way

you must have one hell of a rubber. I'm terrible with sketches. i always rest my hand on the drawing and smudge it haha

Looking back on older works can be a lot of fun.

But it can be painful sometimes, too.

Yeah, 2010 is a good year to look back on because it was kinda the year I reinvented my style to the one I continue with today and I still have all the original sketches backed up
