no, it's not. it's a legit word. it's nothing perverted at all.

Basically, it's the word you use in place of "grooming" if what you're cleaning is feathers.
So, no, when bird furs talk about preening it's not feathery slang for something. Although I'm sure they've dirtied it up somehow.
