Here's a "Follow up" to a commissioned piece submitted earlier. The viewers made several interesting remarks about the idea of a steam powered convertible airplane-car that I just couldn't resist redrawing the cartoon showing the aftermath of the first outing the good Professor Three Tails and his Garetta Vixen assistant took in their new machine.

Love that zippy 1920s Jazz score. I have a book in storage called "Steam in the air" that has an article on the Bessler Steam Plane. I tried to use the general lay out of the aircraft's powerplant for the Professor's invention. Kinda scary three minds thinking alike, eh?
Wow, thanks for that link. I never thought a steam engine could be "pratical" used in an aircraft cause of the horrible power/weight ration + limited range.
Looks like the "anual picnic" went down the porpeller this year.
Does that...car even have brakes, or only the propeller on reverse?

did anyone else see that one coming from a mile away? ^^
amazing what people they met on their way. even a marriage was busted! ^^ it must have been one heck of a ride, judging by their appearance. :)
4 drum brakes? how innovative! there have been a time when people thought braked front wheels would make the ride insecure and all. :) granted, back when the vehicles weren't as swift, so a blocking rear axle didn't cause that many broblems... I guess.
