Good idea: Listening to a drum solo by a jazz master such as Louis Bellson (I've had the pleasure of seeing this at a L.A. music store some decades back).

Bad Idea: Listening to a bunch of morons with conga drums in a circle all night (I've had the very dubious pleasure of being subjected to this several years in a row before the Philadelphia Folk Festival came to its senses and ejected drumming from the campsite).

Main difference between a drum circle and a circle jerk is that less masturbating is going on with the latter.
