I was asked to draw Cence at a grand piano, wearing sunglasses. I was just starting to familiarize myself with both Prismacolor and Copic markers on this piece. I'm really happy with how this turned out, with the swirl of music and the perspective on the piano itself.

BTW, the piece is perfect. it is more than what i had imagined, and love the back story. that it was done by you, means more than just a random artist. (dont mean to get all sentamental) but given your longstanding career, and your work on one of my very favorite cartoons, i love explaining to people exactly what this piece is). thanks again.

Moonlight sonata is one of my favourites too -- my dad's a great hobbyist musician, used to plays everything by ear, but this piece was how he taught himself to read sheet music, with my mom's help, who had actually taken piano classes. There's a piano like this one in my parents' living room. So, I'm really glad you like this one because as much as it is you, for you and with you, there's definitely a part of me in there.
