King Richard's Faire 2011-- this time I was able to go with roommates that followed me (for the most part) and took photos and some video!
Though I have only been once before-- last year for a single day-- there were many who recognized me. As usual, kids were adorable but it was all less exhausting than last year, since I spent less time there and actually ate, plus having spotters helps so much.

Spotters are a godsend! I know that on Canada Day, a bunch of us were walking around downtown for the festivities... we had a good group of non-suiters who 1) kept us moving and 2) could tell the nice people taking all the pictures that it was time for the wolf to move on.

Your costume is a huge favorite of mine - I love Qarrezel's work, but I especially like these costumes where the fur is only really on the headpiece ... it goes a long way towards preventing the "fuzzy footy pajamas" look that some fursuits get. x)
More of a living, breathing character than a mascot, if that makes more sense? :x

Thanks-- I agree insofar that costumes that use several types of materials tend to work better overall, because you avoid the 'one-length-one-color-one-fit' look of those cheap halloween store faux fur costumes. Adding in different fur lengths and materials is really what will make a design shine and fit better than plain fake fur would, not blocky puffy sparkledog patterns.
If you were dressed as Donald Duck, drunk people would be no match for you.
Seriously, I heard a story once about three drunk Scottish soldiers who sneaked beer into Disneyworld, and a guy in a Donald Duck suit tried to make them leave.
They tried to pick a fight with him and Donald fucking OWNED them, knocked them all out and had security throw them out.
And that is why you don't fuck with a duck.

I'm going to ren faire november 4-6th..I wish I had a nice headpiece likes yours, because frankly I can't figure out what to wear this year. It's hard for me to find something affordable that still looks legit and fits nice. If I had a head piece of a fursuit, ESPECIALLY by Qarrezel...I'd be satisfied. The work she does looks so remarkable for just head pieces, because it makes you look like a true character, as if from an old timey story or medieval tale...The few people I have seen there that wear something like this always look fantastic. Ever since I saw someone on stilts with a dragon costume on it's been a huge dream of mine to get something realistic looking and folklore-ish to wear to one of these. I've never seen your average fursuiter at the ren fair...only awesome looking ones like these @w@
Cool! I'm waiting for the next queue for Qarrazel's commissions and I'm getting a full suit, so I've been on the prowl for some great clothing I can wear on top of it if I so desire and if it fits the mood. I might have to commission someone to make some clothing for me, though, 'cause I'm not so sure conventional clothing will be able to fit with wings on my back. >.=.>
