Before there was Viledove, I had another snake/bird hybrid in my arsenal -- King, a secondary character who started life as part of a team of birdlike Freedom Fighters (meaning, yes, he's technically a Sonic fan-character, though the design is so unlike that series I'm not labeling this as such). For whatever reason, King's still around, even though I never used him for anything.

This was also an attempt at seeing if I can save this pic, as it was taken with my phone's camera. I didn't, instead making a weird Photoshopariffic mess. Still, up it goes because dangit, I still like the actual pic.
