then again, why not? scritchign fur and not being judged helps a lot of people getting a sense of self-esteem back. no matter if the pet is sentient and could scritch back. :) and maybe tell stories...

Perhaps Franchesca's time in the hospital will serve to uncloud her vision. One does not need to be a patient in a hospital to be sick and be healed.
However, there will always be a few who just do not learn. Is Franchesca one of those people? Maybe we should ask New Englander.
