Very Strange Rear Swaybar Setup
Rather than connecting the swaybar at the strut like most other cars do, Subaru decided to do this. Weld a couple tabs to the control arm and use an odd shaped swaybar link. Oh well, it works. For a wagon it handles amazing.

You need new tires, the tread is just like mine. You could still use those bad boys, but you should think of replacing them next summer at the latest. I can't get through snow with that much tread, slid and got stuck too many times last year, I can't imagine what will it be like driving this winter. X.X
And are those drums in the back? I honestly thought that they were all disc brakes, but I assume not.

Like I said, you could go until next summer with those tires (that be around 2k miles or so). My tires are 8 years old, and as much as I would love to get new tires, I can only offord two for now. For you, I would guess you don't have to worry more about it if you don't get alot of snow.
