This is the first real glimpse into the story behind who the Guardians are. I'm really excited to finally be at the point where I can start showing more of a back story for this side of the cast. Up until this point, they've been pretty much nothing but supernatural beings, with no concrete explanations given.

Sorry I just like the concept of the old house gods, and when I thought about the origins of the guardians thats what came to my mind. I'm a big fan of the model pratchett uses in discworld. Old gods never die, they just do new jobs.
