I gots lots of ideas for Halloween pic ideas this year and one of the big ones is monster versions of my characters.

Alraune...
The German word for "Mandrake", the monster factor comes from a famous German novel by Hanns Heinz Ewers in 1911.
Likewise, Mandrake root has had many legends made of it because of its human-like shape. Said to grow from the blood (or semen) released from the bodies of men who died by hanging at the gallows. These roots were coveted by alchemists and witches in the creation of love potions.
But the novel deviated from these legends in a different way...
Focusing on themes of artificial insemination and individuality (genetics versus environment), the story has scientist Professor Jakob ten Brinken impregnate a prostitute in a laboratory with the semen of a hanged murderer. The prostitute conceives a girl that has no concept of love whom the professor adopts. Named Alraune, the girl suffers from obsessive sexuality and perverse relationships, and when she learns of her origins, she avenges herself against her "father".
A German classic horror novel, the plant connections and monster story have given birth to the popular culture version of Alraune as we see here, and who was a BITCH to take down in Castlevania.
Needed something with fire or cutting abilities... or both!
