Along with that, I never really liked the couple. It makes you wonder how they ended up together.

I really hate these two together. IT's a Mary-Sue move from Mina to randomly end up with Tails, who is a kid while Mina is a teenager, by the way, for apparently no existant reason.

I know what you mean. It had me confused too, but im a Sonic and Sally fan anyways.

Nice pic. And I agree with everyone so far. Those two are the most random pairing the comic could have done. Personally I would have perfered Barby or Li-Moon.

Not off the top of my head, Ill have to go back through my issues and find it. Ill list it when I do.

I have a theory for this one, it was around this point that archie announced that Tails and Fiona weren't going to be together, so that gets rid of that couple, they also mentioned that Barbie seemed to old for Tails as well, so there goes that couple. Now at this point, Li Moon had only been seen once and she appeared as a Tiger, not a fox, and no connection was made between the characters. So that left Amy and Mina. Archie decided not put Tails and Amy together, because younger readers would believe that in the games, that Tails would be with Amy (hence why none of the game characters are with other game characters). So in the end, the only logical choice was Mina.

That's my theory anyway, for those wondering where I got my facts from, for Fiona, I remember reading the fan mail where they mentioned the couple, and archie just said it wasn't going to happen, this is also where I saw the Barbie info. Li Moon wasn't in the comics for about 10 years, so most of us just got introduced to her in the universe arc. Just letting you know, most of this knowledge I'm recalling from the first time the 25 years story arc happened, before the time lapse and when there was no king Shadow.
