Some people have asked me to post pics of my carnivorous plants and this was a nice group shot of some of my genus Nepenthes. These are monoecious plants (meaning some are male and female plants). They are what are known as passive pitfall traps - meaning that they don't move at all. They rely on sweet nectars and gravity to attract and retain prey items - generally insects, but sometimes snails and slugs. The larger pitchers are known to catch and digest small vertebrates like shrews, rats and frogs. Enjoy! Put it in scraps because not everyone is into plants.

Yes, but they're not all that pretty. They're also either male or female, not both. It's also odd that the ratio is skewed: About 70 of seedlings are male while only 30% are female. This leads collectors to pay more for female plants than males:
