Keep practicing buddy. I definately didn't get to this level overnight. If you don't have one, an airbrush is a great investment.

o_<' Yeah, I try to paint mine all by hand... Air brush kits are quite pricey.

If you're serious about modeling you need an airbrush. once you learn how to use it, it's the holy grail to modeling.

^^ I really should try and invest in one... Even though it's more of just a hobby for me, but I'd like them to look half decent.

;x; The only reason I even started doing models was because I bought a boxed JU-87 G Stuka and I was too busy fangirling over it to even realize that I actually needed to paint / assemble the darn thing. XD Ha ha ha ha.

Acrylics can be REALLY picky. You gotta make sure the surface is clean or it might chip off. Especially when you're airbrushing. It could just be that the paints are old, too. That happens. I usually use enamels because they're easier to work with, but acrylics are better for brush painting because they tend to lay down smoother. I used them to paint the cockpit on a 1/48th scale F-15E Strike eagle I'm working on because the enamels were not doing the trick.

Ah. ^^' I've never had them chip off because I always coat my planes with sealant after I'm done painting. I don't think my paint was too old, unless it was sitting at the store for a long time before I bought it. ;x;

Then how was the paint not wanting to stick? And, yes, I use future foor wax to seal my models, then either gloss cote or dull cote depending on the model after I've applied the decals. but, sometimes acrylics will chip before you seal them if you're not careful.

I like em all and espcially that you went for the P51A, don't see those as much as the -D but they are every bit as cool.

The paint is killer, you are an artist.

I just like em, they remind of a more modern airplane like the bf-109 but with those wheel pants they still look old school. I never thought anything about it until it was pointed out to me in a book... I don't know why I like them so much, they are just unique

Well, I've never seen one... anywhere. Stukas and 109's are rare.

yeah I guess our guys tended to go medieval on them, on sight lol
