Page three of my webcomic. Any day now I'll throw in some code to make this comic easier to navigate here. Otherwise, https://www.rustedtusks.com is the normal home of the SLOP webcomic.
The flashback continues.

I wish I could draw comics and/or comic panels better and more consistantly x_x
Really interested to see where this goes...
"EVIL MAN MAKE ME KILL YA
EVIL MAN MAKE YOU KILL ME
EVIL MAN MAKE ME KILL YOU
EVEN THOUGH WE'RE ONLY FAMILIES APART
THE SAME WAY YOU SHOOT ME DOWN BABY
YOU'LL BE GOING JUST THE SAME
THREE TIMES THE PAIN
AND YOUR OWN SELF TO BLAME
HEY MACHINE GUN
I AIN'T AFRAID OF YOUR MESS NO MORE, BABE
I AIN'T AFRAID NO MORE
AFTER A WHILE YOUR CHEAP TALK DON'T EVEN CAUSE ME PAIN
SO LET YOUR BULLETS FLY LIKE RAIN
'CAUSE I KNOW ALL THE TIME YOU'RE WRONG BABY
AND YOU'LL BE GOIN' JUST THE SAME
YEAH MACHINE GUN"

I have other lil things I try.
If you go to https://www.rustedtusks.com and look at the very first comic page I drew 2 years ago and go through 105 or so pages I've drawn of SLOP you can see a nifty progression of art and style. Say there's an average of 7 frames per page... that's 735 separate drawings I've done. Every page is practice.
The other trick has been to try and not stay in my comfort zone. The comic forces me to draw angles I've never drawn...critters I've never drawn. It forces me to work on a background now and then. I have to draw objects.
I've got a long way to go before I feel proficient, but I do think I got a knack. Just takes work work work to expand it beyond that.
And yup, staying out of the comfort zone goes a long way towards learning new things.
