Something I made back in June, but it's been worn so often it's been the first time it's been sufficiently non-muddy to have photos taken :D
My 2nd attempt at an 18th century Frock Coat; an idea that has been kicking around my and some friends heads for a while is the "Neo-Jacobite" era. So for a Infest I made an 18th century outfit (waistcoat, breeches, coat, shirt and cravat). Well, sorta.
Coat is made from a simply "lovely" wool/polyester blend, dark grey/black with a chalk pinstripe. I'm fairly certain my camera doesn't show it, but the stripes chevron around the middle back seam; something that took forever to match up, but was so worth it.
Lining and cuffs are white linen - chosen because linen does not hold dye well; black and white stuff has a habit of losing the white.
Silver buttons thanks to a job lot at the charity shop - 56 buttonholes, 41 buttons, if anyone was wondering.
Under UV the white cuffs and so on are AMAZING :)

I make some 18th century gear including firearms. This is more along the lines of a great coat rather then a frock but it is hard to tell any deference as the journal of those days are not two clear on which is which. Good job though! I would like to see the back or it on a model.
