Final Fantasy Medley Project Open! Read for Details
Ok, I do have a Final Fantasy project in the works. As of now, its a medley of all MY favorite songs from the series, including some new ones that might surprise you! As of now its about 7:22 on paper, so i am willing to shrink, but i am always trying to add.
Note to anyone who wants to help, i need you to send me a note and your instrument or talent, program you use, and an email one i accept. This is called a collaboration people, those who do no work, get no credit. I have all the time in the world to do this. I would love for a HUGE group of people to get together and work on :30 to 1:10 clips of songs if you so choose to join.... a mega work of awesome proportions! A great way to unite the FA musical community! But let's not get too excited, i have already gotten about 12:00 of music so far.... awesome bits can replace mine!
Songs to listen for that i have already put into the piece in order:
Final Fantasy Prelude->Liberi Fatali (VIII)->Battle Scene 1 (II)->Decisive Battle (III)->One Winged Angel (VII)->Those Who Fight (VII)->The Extreme (VIII)->Battle (IX)-> still planning

I could make this orchestrated, but for now i am planning solo piano. I will slowly branch and adds parts or dissect my piano for all the parts... who knows. So do not get your hopes up or down, this always happens to my music.
Anyone can suggest songs, if i have never played it... i might not have it. These songs are not set in stone.

I'd love to add something, i did actually implement a cover of 'the landing' from ff viii. I'll see to throwing something else together this weekend, maybe with just a single acoustic guitar. It might be cool to have some duet or back-and-forth stuff between piano and guitar.
I use GP6, which has it's own native file format, but i can export and import midi, and obviously record fully rendered stuff to mp3 or flac.

Eyes is one of my mostest favorite.
there's another....not on the list ;P but ima keep it to myself, just for now. you've always had an eerie ability to pick a whole lot of my favorite songs, so i dont wanna make it TOO easy for you! *chuckles* (it's from FF9) HUSH no clues.
i have most of the soundtracks, sheets too. ffdream.com had em allll up. OST's, piano collections in mp3 and sheets. yay!

oh and ps i have a few Dream Theater books, a keyboard anthology, and a full score book. The full score book has every note by every player, reviewed and approved. They even used Jordan Rudess' MIDI performance from the studio versions so it's dead on precise hehe.

I totally recommend you checking out FF 6's OST if you haven't got the chance to, some of Uematsu's best work imo.

good damn. im glad your putting "liberi fatali" from ff8. i have it on mp3 but it was from overclocked remix. and joy for "one winged angel" i also have "To Zanarkand" on a cd that my friend burned,4 disck altogether,but only found 1,3 and 4. but please do "Eyes On Me" its actually the only song that Faye Wong did so good at. ill be looking foward to this big project of yours.
