Chapter 1: Target Acquired
“This is Chase Leader. Target has been sighted moving northwest at 75 miles per hour. I need all vehicles in the area to begin pursuit converging at Route 38. We’ll try the net approach.”
“I’m currently on Route 37. I’ll begin pursuit immediately towards the target.”
“Alright people, we’re in Capture Mode. There is a no fly rule in place here. We don’t need it warping on us again when it sees one of you idiots flapping your wings above it.”
“If we can only get a dang tracker on the thing we might have a chance at capturing it.”
“Anyone have a visual yet?”
“I just passed through the clearing, there’s no sign of him yet.”
“Spotters see him zeroing in on Mahogany. There any way we can intercept him?”
“Dang it! If he hits Mahogany we’re going to have to go through a quadruple gate to get to the other side. There’s no way he’s sitting still for that long.”
“I SEE HIM! He’s heading back southwest now at approximately 65 miles per hour. I’m currently 1.5 kilometers from his position heading northwest at 70. He’s pulled a double-back maneuver on us! I need trappers in position on the junction between routes 38 and 39. We’ve got him bottled here, we don’t want him escaping!”
“Anybody got a Wobuffet out there? At least tell me we have a Bronzong with Block and a Quick Claw for crying out loud!”
“I’m loading the tracking device! I should have a shot in about 30 seconds here! I need him locked down NOW! We need at least a Level 2 connection here! So far we’re searching blind here!”
“Where the heck is that Wobbuffet?”
“We’ve got a Crobat here with Mean Look. I’m currently at the junction on standby. No visual as of yet.”
“Thank God we’ve got Poison. Maintain your position and await a cue. You have him on radar?”
“I’ll give the cue when we approach!”
“All other units head for Route 39! We don’t need him escaping again to the beach!”
“He’s entering a ridge here. I’m going to try to cut him off!”
“Don’t do anything stupid! This is the closest we’ve come to getting a tracking device on him!”
“I’m gonna have to take the shot! He’s heading dead south right now! At this point we’re going to go around where Poison is, and we don’t know when he’ll warp again!”
“You’re going off the map! Stick to the routes or you’re going to crash!”
“I’m not letting this chance go! I’m taking the shot!”
“DANG IT DON’T DO IT!”
“ENTEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!”
(Radio silence)
“WE GOT IT!!! We have Tracker 1 moving southwest at 73 miles per hour!”
“I couldn’t get any damage in. He’s too fast out here.”
“Dang it listen to what I’m telling you next time! But it’s good. You got the shot on him. Just don’t pull a stunt like that again or you’re fired.”
“Target has warped heading northeast towards Route 32.”
“Alright, that’s out of our range right now. We’re going back to Stalk Mode, people, you’re free to ride the skies.”
“I’m heading into Olivine to stock up on supplies. Anybody need anything?”
“Yeah, a few canisters of Fresh Water and as many Ultra Balls as you can carry in that thing.”
“You got it. Signing off.”
I'm sick and tired of sitting around all day not posting things, so I posted this, an incomplete story of mine. We'll see just how far it gets...
And IF you recognize this story (which I have about 3 people that would and I suspect none of them are in fact furries), wasn't it obvious? I mean COME ON.
For the rest of you, I did put one of my friends into the story, but don't get too excited, it was a long time ago. I can still add you in if you're still interested... it would take some serious manipulation, but I can do it. I'll post the next chapter within 24 hours give or take.
One last note (I know you're getting sick of me talking), I came up with this idea as follows:
"It's so hard to catch legendary pokemon! God, I wish there was a way to make them easier to catch WITHOUT hacks. Heh, still, I can only imagine a normal character trying to catch this thing. It'd be pretty much impossible. Wait a second, what if I made it impossible? That would be an awesome story. Level 100 pokemon and you still couldn't catch a legendary, since everyone knows you have to be a main character to catch those kind of things."
