I like what you did with the colors on this. It has a nice traditional feeling, which is lovely.
I know you didn't draw/layout the story, but in the middle it gets a little repetitive just seeing everyone sitting and eating for a few pages (especially with the same shot being used over n over). It feels like the story and punchline is ultimately about the bird, but she's just a background element from page 4 to 10.
Alsooo on page 10 I was a little stumped. After the line about dragons I was wondering if the yellow reptile thing had something to do with the pot splashing. (like they were going to eat him?)
Other than that I think this is a nice little comic. I really like all the different characters. UwU

We were hoping the repetition would help portray the mundane-ness of the situation for the party members, just sitting around eating soup and all, and the relative suddenness of Birdy's rabbit. But if it came off as too boring, we'll keep that in mind for our later comics. Do you think the darkness of the image pushed the confusion in the splashing panel? (The lizard character's a kobold named Yappy, by the by :B) I was afraid it might be kinda hard to read with it being so dark - it doesn't help that making it into a jpeg only makes the image darker. :T
Thanks a lot C:

It's not so much the panel than the lead-up to it I think. Just that the bird is in the background kind of made me forget about it. The thing that tipped me off was the motion lines, to be honest, ahah. Really I thought if you guys had maybe shown that the bird struggling to hold the rabbit in flight at least once (since she drops it multiple times) and then had her in the background before it fell it would still have that same interruption/shock. And for page 10, since you reveal it on the next page I don't think it's soo bad that it's not entirely clear (I definitely don't think it's too dark btw). I think I was just thrown off by Yappy, since he looked nervous after what the girl said ahah.
We thought the just motion lines would be enough to tip off the reader, but still show the confusing situation for the party members. Thanks a lot for the input :D Holy crap! I had never made the connection with Yappy and Astoreen's dragon comment and now I feel stupid for not thinking of the ramifications of her thoughts on a creature that is literally in a continual state of contentment because it believes "it doesn't matter what happens, cause I'm still a motherfucking dragon."
