About time I did another story. Well this is chapter 5...ish.
First off, I got a bit carried away with the dialogue that it became too long to finish as one chapter. Also, Miz and Ontario were one of my first characters I ever had. Never used them for anything, but very glad they had a purpose, finally. Another note that this is the first time Sosco runs into someone friendly, so no surprise he's acting rather friendly and laid back. You would too if you were neglected. Anyway, I really felt I had to raise the stakes a bit with Sosco since it seemed stale that he was a dragon and well no real attributes involved in being that species, until now. Well onto the story.
What Happened to Sosco?
Sosco comes to feeling very groggy and weak, feeling himself being dragged on the ground and groaning from what feels like chucks of metal lodged inside different parts of his body and his clothes covered in blood. Looks up to see a pair of men in black suits pulling on his limp legs as they near a military jeep. One being a duck and the other a reddish-green fox. Just as they approach the vehicle and lift him up, he passes out again into a fog of blurred vision.
Sosco slowly opens his eyes into consciousness and looks around to see what has happened to himself. Seeing he is strapped down on a flat restraint bed and his mouth covered by a muzzle he soon sees the two men that had kidnapped him. This time wearing white lab coats and examining a container of fluids. The duck, “So is this going to work?” The fox, “I’m pretty sure it will. The nanonites have been tested on several feral mice and proven to show results in regenerating wounds at a fair rate of speed.” The duck, “That’s good enough for me. Get the syringe ready so we can juice him up. It maybe his only hope at surviving.”
Sosco gives a muffled protest and thinks to himself,” What the fuck happened to me? I feel like a block of metal. Must have been shrapnel from that C-4 my long lost older sister tried to kill me with.” Groans and pants from the sudden jolt of realized pain. The duck turns around quickly to the sound of Sosco. The duck,” Shit! Miz get that needle ready soon before we lose him!” Miz taps the glass for bubbles,” Well here goes. Ontario. I know he’s weak and injured, but you’re gonna need to hold him down still since by the time I get this in him he might not be still long.” Ontario,” Geez. That powerful?” Miz sticks the point into Sosco’s scales and already pushing in the liquid of machines. Sosco gives out a very strong, pained moan into his muzzle.
Miz pats on Sosco. “Settle down. I know it hurts, but you’ll be grateful for it later. If not for this, you’d have no chance of living.” Looks into his eyes. “I’m sure you don’t trust us, but we’re freelancing this experiment. So what we’re doing isn’t exactly approved by the government, yet. It was more of a challenge in finding a suitable host for it. I’m presuming you have an idea of what nanonites are.” Sosco gives a weak nod, but a skeptical look in his eyes. As you can tell we’re both scientists.” Gestures to himself and Ontario.
“Cut the intro and tell him what we did.” Miz sighs. “Yeah about that. We hadn’t really done much testing on it, but if it works, it’s supposed to increase your strength, a bit, and also regenerate minor injuries. Much like a lizard regrows its tail. Normally this kind of thing seems too much for any other species, but dragons work best with this being they’re large and rather strong. But at least if you’re gonna have an upgrade, best be able to handle it.
We’re gonna take these restraints off of you since we don’t feel you need to be held down anymore and also give you a chance to trust us. Ontario help me out. He’ll recover shortly from the stuff, so should be smooth sailing from here.” Miz takes off the muzzle, Sosco gasping and groaning a bit, the shards of metal coming out of his skin and minor snaps and cracks of his broken bones coming back in place.
Miz,” Damnit. Ontario this isn’t a minor injury. We’re gonna need the supplies.” Sosco,”Supplies? What for?” As Ontario goes into another room, Miz explains. “As I had mentioned before, the nanonites can handle minor injuries, like a nick of your flesh or a bullet hole. What you experienced was a near death experience of damage, which means you’ll need minerals. Your body will normally heal itself rather slowly, but what these do is a bit more quickly, so they will, in fact, need something to patch up the wounds.
Generally if nothing is added in for them, they’ll have to steal from your other body parts. Of course that’s not the best thing, but it’ll keep you alive. In the “supplies” there’s all the minerals you’ll need for proper healing and some tranquilizer medication. Unfortunately, as advanced as this technology is, it’s quite painful to endure, so it would be best if such incidents occurred when you are knocked out and give time to sleep for resting and of course conserving energy to heal.
I know you don’t exactly trust us, but even under the current situation, we are doing our best to help you and overall, attend to your needs. Afterall, you’re just as important to us as we are an asset to you. Just to have you be sure we won’t try anything, I’ll have you moved to a bed.” Gestures over Ontario. “Ontario help me with him.” Miz carries his upper body and Ontario lifts up Sosco’s lower body, hoisting him over into the next room, the items already laid out and ready for use.
Miz and Ontario grunts, setting him down. Miz feels Sosco’s head,” Yeah doesn’t feel like you have a fever anymore. Certainly good news since you should be feeling better.” Sosco makes another attempt to speak. “Under the circumstances I’m in, I think I owe you two my life. It’s not a matter of trust. I had a good idea what you were doing as soon as you mentioned the nanonites. I mean I felt like I was practically dead anyway, nothing you could have done to make it worse.”
Ontario chuckling nervously and rubbing the back of his own head,” Hey cut the mushy stuff. Not like we’re gonna rape you or anything. Geez. If I wanted to get off with doing something, I’d just go into my private room and jerk off.” Miz sighs and Sosco laughs and says to Miz,”Is he always like that?” Miz,”Yes unfortunately. I sometimes wonder why I put up with it.”
Ontario makes kissing noises,” Because you’re lonely and need attention.” Miz,”Hey stop that! I told you never to mention that to anybody! Come on!” Sosco grunts,” I think you better do what you brought me in here for.” Miz,” Oh right. Well we’ll put you out then. No point in keeping you waiting any longer.” Miz preps Sosco’s arm for the tranquillizer shot as Ontario readies the mixtures of minerals.
Miz,“We’re gonna need you to drink these first. Just part of the nutrient process.” Miz tilts his head forward to allow Sosco to drink, sipping the paper cups of the drinks. Sosco,”You know Miz. If you were my dad, I’d probably have sex with you because I loved ya.” Snickers to himself as Miz blushes red and Ontario says,” Oh man. He got you better than I do. I think we have a new partner.” They all laugh and Miz stabs the needle quickly and prompt. As Sosco hits unconsciousness again, he hears Ontario say,” Damn it Miz. Why ja have to make it awkward like that and put him to sleep.” Miz,” Because it was already an awkward moment.”
