I remember when an orb weaver decided to grace my parents' garden with its presence in NC. Beautiful dinner-plate-sized web on the rock wall, with a perfect zig-zag down the center, and this multicolored decorative spider eternally perched in the center. At least, for that year. Sadly, we never saw any more in the garden after that year. :/
