My good ol' tail have been looking quite worn out the last couple of years, especially because the acrylic fur was white to begin with, and I tried colouring it... without much succes.
I wanted to remake it to make it fit for a hybrid costume I've had in mind for a while now, and therefore it had to be made with real fox pelt.
PLEASE READ BEFORE FLAMING: Yes, I know its real fox fur, and I know that make some of you cry.
But the fox is NOT from any farm, but shot wild. If it were up to me, I would originally have made it out of a pelt from a roadkill, but that wasn't possible since I rarely ever come across any, nor roadkills or pelts made from them. So getting a wild shot one was second best, because then I know for sure that the fox had lived a full a good natural life.
I don't support hunting, but this costume doesn't have much to do with that either. The fox haven't been killed for the sake of this costume, and its destiny have nothing to do with the costume either.
Anyway.. Its not suppose to be a traditional fursuit or half suit, and there won't be any more pelts needed for the rest. Only antlers and feathers.

Just a couple things, not flames! I would not argue that it having been shot in the wild means that it had a full life. If it was shot, it did not have a full life, plain and simple. But I'm not going to tell you that you should not have used it, because you already have used it. And it looks pretty good. There's no changing that it died, and no changing that you turned it into art. So there would be no point in flaming.
As a project, putting aside what it was made from, I think it has a great look to it. Is the white tip from the same pelt?

Thank you :) Maybe not a completely full life, but its a big fox, so it had lived fairly long.. Considered if it was a young.
Anyway.. No, its from a different pelt. Actually a tail I had laying around for years, not sure where its from actually.. Might be from an arctic fox actually.
